La Plata Ranch™ is a mixed use development, which combines homes, recreation areas and a thriving commercial district on both sides of Pinon Hills Blvd. This commercial district will provide badly needed services for the west and northwest parts of Farmington.
This commercial district will have over 165,000 square feet of space on just under 20 acres of land on the five corners as numbered below in diagram. The district is scheduled to have restaurants, including outdoor dining; a bank branch with drive thru window; a grocery store or small supermarket; a drug store; a day care center; and 20,000 square feet of office condos.
This commercial area will provide gross receipts tax revenue to the city in an area which is now just outside the city.
