La Plata will be huge economic development project for the city and county, providing hundreds of jobs, in a $90 million residential project and an additional $30 million in commercial construction.
In addition, with a multiplier effect of two times the original construction amount, that means another $240 million in additional purchases over the ten-year period.
All in all, this economic development project will mean significant rise in activity for jobs and sales in the city and county for five to ten years.

Big Tax Revenues for City and County
La Plata will be a major tax revenue source for the city and county and ultimately contribute over $34 million in tax revenues (GRT, commercial mill and residential mill) between 2009 and 2034. The tax revenues start this year and grow substantially when construction commences.
During the construction phase, La Plata Ranch™ will bring in significant Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) for a six-year period.
